The Kenya Generic Tax File was updated with amendments to the income base for the Affordable Housing Levy
Apply Kenya Changes
To update your Sage 300 People application with the Affordable Housing Levy Income Base change, you must import the latest Kenya Generic Tax file.
Note:
Before Importing the new KEN-GenericTax.xml file, the Sage 300 People application must be updated to version 23.2.3.0.
The file must be imported in any pay period before doing any payroll processing, printing payslips or reports or making any payments. Do a recalculation of all your Kenya company rules.
Note:
The Kenya Affordable Housing Levy statutory contribution is a monthly calculation and therefore no corrections for previous periods will be applied if the updated tax file is imported after the July pay period. Manual levy adjustments must then be done.
