I believe the issue could be that the line that is linked to the termination payout is not available on the employee payslip detail screen yet.  Please follow the steps below to ensure the line is on the Employees Payslip

1. Check which line is linked for the payout by checking the leave policy

 > Navigate to Company management

 > Leave

 > Policy

 > Double click the relevant policy

 > Check the relevant payout definition

2. On the employee payslip definition screen

 > Click on earnings

 > Click on new

 > Find the relevant Earning definition

 > Click on save

After these steps have been completed you should be able to enter the transaction again on the leave detail screen

This is possible in WebSS.

Setup the Normal Pay Out Rate on the Leave Policy according to Dirk's post above [but for Normal Pay Outs - my screens for illustrations only].

You will need to ensure that at least one of your approver groups have "Administrative Privilege" option ticked on Process Definition.

Employee will apply as per normal and put some comments (note that applicant cannot select Pay out rate during application process),

The approver should change the Pay Out Rate before approving the transaction in WebSS:

When the transaction is posted to People, the value is then calculated onto Payslip Detail screen.
