Linking of a new approver will depend on your setup of the Leave workflow.
If you make use of Use Reports to on your approver groups, then you will just need to link the employees to the new reports to employee on the employees profiles. In the employee profiles under Employee Detials, on the right of the screen click on the Magnifying glass icon in the Report To Employee field, search for and select the new manager.
If you have specific process definitions setup for each manager then you will just need to create a new approver manager group for the new manager and link the approver group to the existing process Definition.
To create a new approver manager group...
On the Navigation Pane
Expand: Parameters
Expand: Workflow
Double click on: Approver Management
Click on the New icon to create a new group, enter a Code, Short and Long Description thereafter under the Approvers Section, click on the new icon, in the Entity field, click on the magnify glass, search for and select the new mangers entity , under Role, select Mandatory.
Once you have created the new approver management group, you will just need to link the group to the existing process definition.
On Navigation Pane:
Expand: Self Service
Expand: Setup
Double Click: Process Definition
Search for and select the existing definition for the previous Manager, Under Step Definition, on the specific mangers step, change the Code and Description then under Approver Group, click on the drop down list and select eh new approver group then save.
Further to the above, all outstanding leave transactions that have been assigned to the previous manger, can be reassigned to the new manger for approval.
On the Navigation Pane
Expand: Self Service
Double click on: Process administration
In this screen you can search for the outstanding leave transactions and reassign to the new manager, there are multiple ways you can filter on this screen, I suggest under the Process Definition field, select the specific Definition and in the Status field select New and Partially approved thereafter on the right side of the screen click on Refresh & Search.
A list of transactions will then appear, select the applicable transactions, then at the bottom of the screen under Steps, select the specific previous managers step then on the right side under Step approvers, select the approver then click on the blue reassign icon and search for and select the new manager then save. the New manger will now receive a notification to approve the transaction.
