Problem:
Whenever printing a POS report an ActiveX component can’t create object(429) error occurs.
Cause:
That is usually the Crystal 8.5 runtime that is still part of the program, it is part of the old workstation setup and they may need to re-run it.
If using Crystal 11 now, make sure to register the tlb and dll using the batch file.
Resolution:
- Have a look at installing the crystal runtime files to help with the printing.
- Then ensure that the Crystal 11 setting has been activated within the General settings in the Administrator module.
- Most importantly that the crystal files are copied to your RMS/Programs folder and
- Then register the .bat files from the RMS/Program folder, this should enable you to run your Crystal V11 specs.
