Hi Shemuel, status 81 is a loc error message and file 7 is a user file. To correct this, you must close Pastel and check that you do not have any loc files in the Pastel folder. Also, delete the backup.txt file in the company that gives you this error message. If the problem persists run a repair on a Pervasive application and restart the machine.

Thanks a lot for getting back to me.

I was under the impression that I've already replied, but it seems that I never submitted my response as I'm not seeing it on this thread.

I've tried your suggestions but I couldn't get any of them to work.

i) I don't have any .LOC files in my Pastel directory.

ii) There was no backup.TXT file in any of the companies

iii) How do I run a repair on the pervasive application? I've downloaded the PSQL Control Center, but I'm a tad hestiant to play around with it; scared I might break the database or something.

To run a repair on Pervasive, you must download the installation file and download Pervasive. Kindly download the Pervasive that you have installed on your machine. 

Once done downloading, double click on it to run the repair.  please find the link below.

Hi,

I do have a similar error but it comes when I am trying to update customer invoices. I am a consultant for Sage Pastel and this really hindering me to perform the Year-end. Also, the cursor keeps loading when deleting invoices as well. I left it overnight but still didn't perform any action.
