Please note that you can manually select the option for Balance sheet Financial Category from the Edit – General Ledger Account screen in Pastel. If the financial Category is grayed out, this means there are transactions processed to this account and you will not be able to change it manually. You will need to send an email to support and request a Data Fix. This will be a chargeable Data fix. Kindly email [email protected] for further assistance.

Should you not wish to send the Data to be fixed, you can block the account and create a new account with a correct financial category. You can use a journal to transfer the balances from the old account to the new one.
