Company Version Number

SUGGESTED

Does anyone know in which Pervasive Table the entry for the Pastel Version number lies ?

I have a customer that I am trying to assist in accessing her archive Pastel Partner ver x.xx data. They no longer have the version of Pastel Partner on their device that matches the version of their company and cannot upgrade the company data as they have moved onto Sage One and no longer have a Pastner license

    Hi Darryl,

There is no table, however, for older versions, you can view the accprmsy.dat file to see the version of Pastel the data is currently on. This option for the accprmsy.dat has been removed and this process no longer works on the new versions.

If you open the data that comes from the higher version on a lower version program, you will get the error message below.

If you open a file from the lower version on a higher version package, you will receive the message to rebuild the file followed by the message below. The message will indicate the version that the data was last opened on.

Let us know if the steps shared did help you, by clicking on verify the answer.

     Kind regards,

    Thanks for the rapid reply.

I do not get the rebuild message as I am working with an expired license which is fine as my client only needs to read the data, but she cannot upgrade her data to another version due to the expired license.

    Hi Darryl,

Please email the registration team at [email protected] or contact 086 123 7243 to check the type of package that the client is running. They will be able to indicate if the package is an advantage or perpetual and assist further.

    Kind regards,
