Importing inventory into Sage pastel Partner v19

Question

When importing the csv file I get an error message stating that the groups I have listed do not exist. 
 This is correct as I am trying to import the inventory and groups. 
 
 What we currently do is the sale of non-physical items and it is captured on the invoice using each item's G/L account. The user must enter the pricing manually each time. 
 
 I wish to have the items in a non-physical inventory and when selected on the invoice using the item code (inventory) it will auto-populate the pricing. this I have succeded within testing but the items are not listed in their own G/L account but grouped in a single G/L account. 
 
 I want each inventory item to have a unique G/L account and COS account. How do I get this to import as such? I am hoping not to have to do it manually as we have over 200 line items.

Hi CraigL Please use this link to help you import the inventory: Sage 50c: How do I export & import inventory items? Create the groups under setup>inventory>groups as indicated below if you would like each item to have a unique group. 
 Only after creating your groups in Pastel can you import the item along with the appropriate inventory groups. For further assistance with creating the inventory groups and inking them, go to this article: How do I link inventory to general ledger accounts?
