Sage Intelligence & Pervasive Client/Server V13 - Pastel Auto Connection system failed to create a link to your data

Sage Intelligence - Pastel Auto Connection system failed to create a link to your data. The error returned was:-

An error occurred in the Pervasive. SQL layer. The error was [A general failure occurred.]

The error occurs when trying to run Sage Intelligence report on workstation in Pervasive Version 13 Client/Server environment and Sage 50cloud Pastel. This is at the point when system is trying to create the link. The link has already been created on the server so the workstation should not be trying to create the link.

The issue is known and has been logged as PPAS-289 for investigation.

WORKAROUND:

Run Sage Intelligence reports on server.

  • Good day - has this issue been resolved yet?   We have a 20 user site and multiple users that need to run the SIR report - for security reasons they CANNOT run this on the server?   It has been over a year already?
