Sage Outage - Flash ???

I am by no means an IT specialist but got Error 502 when attempting to log in.

What is of particular interest is the URL on the website that I was directed to: accounting.sageone.co.za/dashboard/detectFlash.aspx

Flash ??

Maybe herein lies the issue and Sage have been caught with their pants down and were still using flash in their software after the 31st December 2020 (I personally have known for over two years that Flash was no longer supported from the end of the year). 

If this is indeed the case then Sage deserves everything coming their way........

  • You are the second person confirming this... It has nothing to do with anything but the flash adobe is not supported anymore - and some back up was never made .. Do you think there is truth in that.

  • I'd be surprised if Flash is the problem - reason being that when the system is not overrun and is working, the site is still trying to access flash for the graphs that appear in the dashboards. The browsers realise the problem and report it, but the site continues working regardless. Of course, they should have taken the Flash-based stuff out of their systems a long time ago, but clearly their IT dept is worse than SARS'

    Right now anything is possible..... with the lack of communication and transparency from Sage I am expecting the worse.
