Is it possible to set up an external query / database connection (ODBC/SQL/Web Query), so that I can automatically import & refresh my custom Excel reporting using my Sage Business Online Accounting data?
I am currently exporting as csv/xls, running a macro on the file to modify the data & then copy/pasting into my Excel Report layouts. Even with the use of Macros the process is tedious and repetitive. A DB feed would enable me to hit "refresh" from within my report and get my update immediately.
PS. I know that I can also set up the source query from a file, and transform the data whilst doing this, but I would like to hand this report off to another staff member who does not have access to pull the csv report data from Sage themselves.
