Please note that the Automated Update for 2024 Update 2a has been stopped due to an error received. 

2024 Update 2a was released late on Wednesday, 22 November, and on Thursday, 23 November some customers had reported an error when attempting to roll over to the next period.

Upon investigation, we determined that the risk involved is high enough to justify stopping the release until we can determine the next steps.

The error seems to be in Sage Connected Services and the relevant people are investigating.

There will be a new release to remedy the issue, 2024 Update 2b will be released tentatively on the 4th of December 2023

What do to if you have already installed update 2a?

If you already installed 2a and it doesn't give you any errors you may proceed without any problems.

What to do if you have already installed update 2a and you're getting an error?

If you do get an error when doing a period update then please turn off the communications on Sage Connected Services (SCS). Right-click on the SCS icon in the bottom right then select options and untick Enable communications as illustrated below:
