Version of Sage Connected Services

SOLVED

I have issues with how Sage Connected Services works. The taskbar icon shows me "News" but the last entry in any of the sections is 2015/10/10.

Another issue is that I download and install the latest version (2.1.39) and I confirm this is the version when I look in the Control Panel at the version number in the "Uninstall or Change a Program".

However if I open Sage Connected Services from within Payroll (I have just upgraded to 2020 Update 1)  and open the options, it tells me in the top bar Sage CS 2.1.9.5 . How is this possible.

Lastly, should I be getting updated News etc in the CS taskbar Icon?

    Good day GlennJ.

Our apologies for the old news, I would like to make some joke about the budget speech being that uneventful, but in reality we will have to look at why that is coming through to your Connected Services.

The news feed was stopped a few years back, but the functionality still exists, and therefore it only displays the old news that was posted the last time the functionality was used by the business.

The Programs & Features of your computer reflects the installation version (2.1.3.9), while the Title bar reflects the version of the files that the application looks at. This is just to keep track of what is going where.

As the News functionality is not used at this stage, you will not be receiving any news or alerts.

We apologise for the confusion that this could possibly cause.
