ESS Employee Information Breach

Good Morning,

We have exactly the same problem with another employee this month, as explained before one of our employees have access to another profile when using her own login details, this is an breach of information and should not be possible at all, it could have serious consequences, Karen assured me last month that tests to prevent this will be done?

    Hi Shantell,

    I am aware that the Dev team has tested this in the last weeks.  They can't pinpoint exactly why it is happening we tested terminating employees and then creating new ones, restoring backups recreating employees etc.

    They have written notifications into the product that will assist in identifying irregularities and stopping the upload of an employee if there is any irregularities - the system will give you a notification.  This has been written into 2020 Update 1b, that is schedule for release in the week ending 5 July.

    I am conversing with you on the other post regarding this matter to get more information that I can pass on to the Dev team.

    Good Morning Shantell,

    As per your discussion with Karen any myself, I just want to make you aware of the release of 2020 update 1b.  They have written some added code into this update, that should detect any irregularities with the employee it will give you the below error:

    “A problem has occurred while committing the employee information for Sage Self Service. Please contact our support department on [email protected] with the steps you have followed, in order for our team to assist in correcting this issue.“
    Please update to this version and keep us informed.
