New installation of pastel

SOLVED

Good day Sage,

I need to do a new installation of the following Software on our new Server 2019 Windows STD. I need to know where I must start the prerequisites for the Server and the Pastel software and what I need to install first, second ext. I also need to know about moving the database and the user licenses.

Is their any documentation regarding this, and where can I download the Software your company is using.

Is there a Support Team at SAGE that can help?

  • Sage 50c Pastel Partner
  • Accounting Partner V18
  • Pastel Payroll & HR 2020

Thank you

    Good day Jacobus,

Thank you for your support post.

We did receive this post via our support mailbox as well, but please see below information.

The installs for Pastel Payroll & and Pastel Accounting/Sage 50c can be found on their respective download managers:

    Pastel Payroll: http://payrollupdate.sagesouthafrica.co.za/pastel/
Sage 50c and Pastel Accounting: http://pastelupdate.sagesouthafrica.co.za/

I can't say freely for the accounting side, but for Payroll side the easiest way to move over the databases is navigating to your C:\Payroll folder on your 'old' machine and copying all the yellow folders EXCEPT for Custom, _Demo and Bicupdate onto a flash drive.  You can then paste them from the flash drive onto the C:\Payroll folder on the new machine once Payroll is installed.
