If the new employees haven't uploaded , then you can follow the below steps as we had advised on the previous post about the leave that didn't update.

Step by step guide to Self -Service upload new employees

Please find the solution below:

1. Stop sage connected services from your Task manager by Ending task on SageCSClient.exe

        2.Compress zip the follow file “ESSync.vdb4” in the payroll folder

        3.Delete the original file ESSync.vdb4

        4. Add a character on the employee's name like a full-stop.

        5.Start Service , navigate to Windows start > Search for Sage connected service on Programs and Click on Start Services

        6.Open Pastel Payroll, navigate to Process > Self Service > Synchronize

        7.Navigate to  Setup > Self Service > Administrator profile and click Ok and Yes .

        8.Allow 30min -1 hr before you can check the upload on the website or batch on payroll.

Why does this keep happening? And why do I always need to go through this major process? I uploaded 3 other employees and it worked fine. It is ridiculous that we need to go through this every time!

I restored a backup and tried to reload the employee. I am now getting this error, please assist

Thank you for your post 

Kindly advise if you have changed any of the Administrator details on the website (e.g.password), because the backup should have the same details initially synced.

A backup does not synchronize employees to the website and if  employees don't get uploaded , your Sage connected services is either not running or the employee masterfiles need refreshing , hence we suggested the above solution.

Hi Siphiwe

None of the ESS details have changed. Before I could follow any of the steps - I first added a . onto the employee name and when I saved I got the ESS SDK error again

And I disabled Connected Services on my Task Bar

Kindly advise if  you recently worked on a year end company and synchronized it ?

Please check if you can complete the Administrator profile update now on the backup that your sent us and still get the error.

So far I haven't got any errors ... and I just checked - the new employee is visible in ESS !!
