ESS employee sync error

Hi,

We are having ESS sync issues:

1. Under Payroll Module, System Status the number of employee indicates a total of 68 while ESS shows 79. 

2. Each employee has a defined payslip password under Employee Masterfile, Personal, Contacts.  The May payslip has been sync to ESS successfully. However when employees open the downloaded PDF payslip file it do not accept the password entered in Payslip Password field.

3. All employees do not receive a payslip email notification.

4. Sage Connected Service, Sage Pay Logs do not record ESS portal activities.

Self Service Admin profile syncs successfully by navigating to Setup, Self Service, Admin Profile. It reach 99% and close the sync progress bar without notifications. We take it a success.

    Thank you for your post,

    If the passwords setup on the employee masterfile's doesn't allow employees to access their May payslips, we would advise that you compress zip the ESSSync.vdb4 file within the payroll folder and delete the original file.

    Then follow the step by step guide to stop and start sage connected services ( Stop & Start Sage Connected Services)

    The after reprint Employee self service payslips for the period that employees couldn't access their payslip e.g. May 2022  ( follow the guide Reprint Payslips)

    The payroll administrator would then need to synchronize pastel payroll with employee self service and do an administrator profile update .

    The employees can then check if their password do open the re-uploaded payslips.
