I need to see what options are available for the set up type for each user in Pastel Payroll. I need access to the setup menu but due to the companies audit requirements I then cannot have access to clear run flags. I need to be able to add occupation, department, cost center, job code types as well. There lists user types as supervisor, administrator etc but then the options on the left change as well.  A guide for this would be incredibly helpful.

Hi Samantha

When you go to Setup > Users/Passwords > Users/Passwords, you can select a user number from 00 to 19. 

User 00 is the Administrator or super user who sets up all others and grants them access or permissions.

The Administrator can select a User Type for each user, thus setting up specific permissions for each type.

You will note that with each different user type selection, the Options on the right-hand side will change, showing you what kind of access each user has. Only the ticked options will be available for each user.

Thanks Mbali,

I found that link. The problem is I am trying to allocate certain functions of the setup menu to an employee but not all.

The options it seems to give me is that I can allocate all the setup up functions or none. Which is frustrating.

I was advised by my Business Partner to set up a customized user, however I am not sure how to do this.

The options that are available under Setup Users/Passwords are the only user setup options we have in Pastel Payroll unfortunately.

I am not aware of any custom user setups outside of this.
