Please can you advise what you did prior to the pay period update, did you perhaps make changes on the masterfiles etc?

Thank you for your response.

No changes were made, just did the normal payroll run. 

This was a client of ours, we ended up copying the company to our pc, was able to do the pay period update and copy it back to the client.

You can make a backup of the company, create the demo payslip and restore back once you are done.

Or you can log into the Demo company and create the payslip.
