Leave Days on Payroll Does Not Match with ESS

SOLVED

Hi,

Our client employee has 73days friday leave balance. It apply for leave from ESS for 38days. The ESS leave application has been approved and closed. However the 35days balance is not reflecting in payroll. Under  Employee - Leave tab the leave balance is 73days.

We initiated the solution to restart the ESS service and apply the solution from KB Stop and Start Sage Connected Services, it did not resolve the issue.

    Hi ,

Your leave balance in Payroll will only be affected once you have created the leave batch and updated the payslip.  Only once the payslip has the leave items will it update the days due on Payroll.

That leave days due will then become in sync with the website again.

I have attached a guide in your other post that will help you to bring the items down into your batch.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Hi Durayne,

    Appreciate the reply.

Just noticed we have an added menus under Create Batch; 1) Resync Leave Batch and 2) Resynch Travel Batch. No idea if the Resynch Leave Batch will do the same function from the attachment?

    Hi ,

The screenshot that I used in the guide is a bit old.

In the past, once you have downloaded a batch - it couldn't be redownloaded again.  So if for an example you created the batch (Process, Self Service, Create Batch, Leave), and then needed to restore a backup, then you weren't able to re-download that batch.  There was no way to recover that information and you needed to recapture all the items manually.  The Resync Leave batch will now allow you to recover a batch that you have downloaded and have been lost without having to manually recapture it.

So it doesn't do the exact same thing.  The Leave, Travel, Other allows you to create a batch for the first time.  The resynch Leave/Travel batch will allow you to recreate a batch that you have already created if for some or other reason your batch has been deleted/lost.
