My suggested answer for you would be:

1. Uninstall and reinstall pastel payroll
2. Restart your machine/computer and rerun the 2025 update 1 as an administrator

A quick question: is the installer co-ordinator not running from the background?

We are experiencing the same issue and after support logged in and she uninstalled, reinstalled, installed from the cache folder etc, only to reinstall without the South Africa option did she realise that the tax files are not up to date. She pointed out that also on the payrollupdate.sagesouthafrica.co.za/pastel/ website it still has the 2024 country update. She brought this under her supervisors attention and said it will be uploaded asap.

When will the 2025 country file be uploaded?

Have you tried looking in the following folder C:\ProgramData\Sage Installations\{6AA21F1E-D524-4294-93D4-CDE42A38135A} and running the Pastel Payroll - South Africa.msi from that location

Yes, the support lady installed from there as well last week.

Just spoke to Thabiso from support and he connected and ran the installs etc. He suggests we restart the server as the legislative and tax files install without error, but as soon as you open the company again it requests to install the legislative update and tax files for 2024-2025. Stuck in a loop.

Will restart the server after 3 and report back. Thanks
