I would like to email reports and payslips in PDF out of the system, is that possible?

Yes, this functionality is available on our current Sage 200c VIP as well as our Sage VIP products but the location for the setup has moved on Payroll Professional.

To set it up, you need to access Reports>Reports Control>PDF Email Setup.

This feature makes use of SMTP – Simple Mail Transfer Protocol, which is an Internet Standard for Electronic Mail (e-mail) Transmission. You will most likely need to call on your IT Department to assist you with the setup of this screen.

  • All mandatory fields must be completed
  • The ‘From E-mail Address’ should be dedicated to sending Payslips.
  • The ‘Reply to E-mail Address’ should rather differ from the ‘From E-mail Address’ (but it does not have to).
  • The SMTP information must be supplied by an informed IT person.
  • ‘Use Secure Mail Server (Eg Gmail)’ must be ticked for the relevant circumstances.
  • Only Standard Payslips and Payslips with Hours and Balances can be printed via this option
  • All employees who need to receive payslips via E-mail must have a valid E-mail address completed on the IS screen
