According to Article 2, Paragraph 10 of the Prime Minister’s Order, a new statutory contribution should be made by employees and paid towards the Community-Based Health Insurance Scheme.

This is effective from 13 February 2020.

The CBHIS contribution is calculated as 0.5% of the net salary of the employee.

A document explaining the steps on how to do the setup of the abovementioned, will be uploaded soon.

Employers are to remit these contributions to the Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB) on or before the 15th of the following month.
