The UIF contribution limit has increased to R17 712 per month effective 1 June 2021.
Therefore, from 1 June 2021, the UIF contribution limit is aligned with the UIF benefit limit.

What changes do I need to make on the payroll system?
The UIF Limit must be altered in the first pay period for June 2021 (Calendar month 06).
Note: It must be altered before you have transmitted salaries, or printed payslips or reports for the pay period.
To change the UIF Limit:
- On the Main Menu
- Select Company Information, then
- Basic Company Information, then
- Select the UIF Monthly Earnings Limit and enter R 17 712.00.
- Your Ann. Limit will now display as R 212 544.00
- When you close the screen, remember to answer YES to the general recalculation question

If you have already paid and have not started a new processing week, you will need to first start a new pay period and make the changes. This is to ensure that your paid values are correct on the reporting.
