The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has issued a Public Notice on the calculation of the Affordable Housing Levy (AHL) on 15 August 2023.

The KRA has provided a clear definition of the "gross monthly salary" that is used to calculate the Affordable Housing Levy (AHL).

We recommend that you review your AHL calculations as currently setup in your payroll companies,.

Please ensure to also update your Kenya P10 PAYE Report setup (under Kenya Reports) to include the relevant definition lines in the report.

The current Kenya P10 report will only export the Gross Salary as required by the current P10 template issues by the KRA.
