You will have the option to Update Now or Later:

  • Update Now will apply the new update and convert the company data to the new version, and apply the new changes. This is recommended to be done only if all companies are in new pay period
  • Later will allow you to continue to work on the current version (for example you have not rolled into a new pay period)

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Should I update my system still in February 2024 to the new version?

A: Yes, you can update the system to the new version as the system contains the latest OID Report specification for the 2023 Return of Earnings submissions. We however recommend to review you EMP201 (Detailed) before and after the update, as the system will apply a recalculation. This is only a risk if you did not perform a General Recalculation before finalising your payroll.

Q: I have already processed reimbursive travel transactions using the previous prescribed rate (R4.64), and not the rate included in 6.2a (R4.84). How will I resolve this?

The update changes the prescribed rate for transaction  to be captured, and not transactions already captured on your payroll. The suggested solution will be to delete the older transactions, and recapture them for the new prescribed rate to apply.
