Flexi Utility Function and Importing Fixed Info

Hi

I am trying to import employee information into SAGE Payroll Professional (Version 5.2A).

Steps I follow is listed below :

Select Interfaces 

Select Flexi Utility 

Select Fixed Info

Select Import 

Prior to these steps, I have converted the excel sheet containing all information to a CSV file (comma delimited).

I am not sure why I am unable to import this data - please assist.

The error message I receive is "Header record invalid. Column 1 must contain Company, Column 2 must contain Employee".

    Hi Rukshana,

    The following information below will assist you to resolve this error message:

    Ensure that the Regional settings on your computer are correct (The system only recognises comma-delimited CSV files):

    • Control Panel
    • Region and Language
    • Formats
    • Additional Settings
    • Numbers
    • Decimal symbol must be a full stop ‘.’
    • List separator must be a comma ‘,’

    If the regional settings are correct according to the Regional settings document (attached), it might indicate that the semicolon is a backup delimiter that Excel uses if it can't use the comma for some reason:

    • Access Excel
    • Go to File > Options > Advanced
    • In the section 'Use system separators', tick the box and make sure the Decimal separator is a fullstop, not a comma (as below)

    The import file layout may be incorrect:

    • Access the file in Notepad and validate if the 1 column is the Company number, and the 2nd column is the Employee code.
