How To Rehire a employee that should not have been terminated the previouse month

SUGGESTED

Please could you assist? We have an employee who was employed on the 12th of June, the payroll admin has not included him as a taxpayer or Statutory cost since then. She then went and terminated him in October, and wanted to employ him in Nov again. I do not want to do it this way. I want to reinstate him and set his PAYE that should have been deducted from Jun till the present. But there is no reinstate/ rehire button in Sage Business Cloud Pastel payroll professional.

How do I go about reinstating him and getting his PAYE en statutory fees correct?

please advise.Thank you

    Hi Liza

On Sage Business Cloud Payroll Professional, you first have to input a R1 on the employee's  payslip screen to activate the terminated record. Then then you will be able to change the employee status back to "normal" which reinstates then.

Now, when the employee was terminated, a forced PAYE recalculation was done and this cannot be reversed, when you reinstate the employee, their PAYE will either be higher than normal or lower than normal based on the forced recalculation.

Please see article below on when and how to reinstate and employee:

    Kind Regards
