When you do a Start of Period to January 2020 on Release 5.3a or 5.3b in a Ghana tax country company, you will receive the following error message:
"No Tax Tables exist for the specific tax year"
The current tax file only contains the tax tables up to December 2019, as there is still no confirmation on the promulgated and verified tax table changes for the 2020 tax year.
In order to allow this to happen without the error message, we will release tax files within this week to resolve this error.
If you have already done a Start of Period, you have the following options:
- Restore the December backup and wait for the tax tables (will be able to access the company, but no roll forward to January 2020)
- Leave the company in January 2020 and await the tax tables (will not be able to access the company)
How to download the 2020 Tax File for Ghana:
- Click here to access the downloads page
- Click on the Africa tab
- Select to download the Ghana Tax Table (2020) for Sage VIP/Sage 200c VIP 5.3a/b (Jan 2020)
How to install the patch file:
- Make a Full System backup
- Extract the downloaded file to the system folder overwriting the existing files
- Access the system
- Access the Ghana company to confirm the new tax file has been applied correctly (no error messages)
Take note: No changes has been promulgated, thus the 2020 tax tables in the patch file contains the same tax rates as 2019.
