The new Tax File for Namibia which is effective from March 2022, is now available on the Software Downloads page.
The Namibia Income Tax Act was amended by Government Gazette No. 7992 and promulgated on 29 December 2022.
The aggregate tax deduction limit for pension, provident, retirement annuity funds and study policy contributions have been increased to N$150 000.00 per annum, effective from 01 March 2022.
When you install the tax file, the system will force a recalculation and might impact on the tax calculation of impacted employees.
Before installing the new tax file, take note of the following:
- Your payroll software must be on Release 5.9a
- Your payroll company should be in a new pay period before installing the new tax tables
- Always make a Full System Backup before installing new tax files to your system folder

- Select the Africa tab
- Click here to download the installation instructions
- Click on the Download button next to Namibia Tax changes for Classic and Premier: R59a (January 2023)
- Follow the installation instructions to complete the installation
- Ensure to do a General Recalculation when accessing your company, prior to finalising your payroll
