The Zimbabwe Finance (No. 8) Act of 2022 included the changes for the period August 2022 to December 2022. The following tax files were release previously for Zimbabwe:
- Zimbabwe: New Tax Rates – Effective 1 August 2022 (Version 202204)
- Zimbabwe: New Tax File available to download - Effective 1 August 2022 (Version 202205)
The following additional changes are applicable to your system for 2022, and are included in this new tax file:
- Tax Credits for Blind, Disabled and Elderly persons
- Maximum Tax-Deductible Limit for Pension
- Retrenchments Package – Severance Pay, Gratuity and similar benefits

Take note: This tax file should be installed in your 2022 Tax Year-end directory only, and will result in a recalculation on impacted records.
Before installing the new tax file, take note of the following:
- Your payroll software must be on Release 5.9a
- Take note that installing the update will result in a recalculation of tax values for affected employees
- Always make a Full System Backup before installing new tax files to your system folder
