A patch file has been released for Sage VIP Classic and Sage VIP Premier Release 6.0a and is available on the Sage Portal and Software Downloads page.
What is included in the patch file?
The patch file includes
- Old Mutual Pension Fund: New Superfund layout aligned with Conduct Standard 1 of 2022 (RF)
- Fix for Status 22 error when you do an ETI Take-on
- Fix for 12 Month History Report (Excel) where the total amounts for perks in previous months did not display correctly

How do I do I download and install the patch file?
You have 2 options where you can download the patch file from:
1. Download from the Sage Portal
- Access the Sage Portal
- Click on Product Updates
- Select your Sage VIP Classic or Sage VIP Premier
- Select Sage Classic Release 6.0a
- Scroll down and locate 'Patch File R60aFixes_040423 Released 2023/04/04' in the Patch Files section
- Click on Download in the Software section to start the download process
2. Download from the Sage Downloads page
- Access the Software Downloads page
- Click on the Patch Files tab
- Locate Retirement Funds: Old Mutual Premier: R60a (April 2023)
- Click on Download in the Action section to start the download process
Once you have downloaded the patch file:
- It is recommended to make a full system backup before extracting the patch. Click here for more details
- Ensure no other users are accessing the payroll application, when extracting the files
- Locate the file R60aFixes_05042023.zip file which was downloaded
- Double-click on the .ZIP file, which will open with the default program on your computer
- Select to Extract All the files
- Select the payroll application folder as extraction location.
- When prompted to overwrite existing files in the folder say Yes
- Close the application when the extraction is complete
Once the patch file is installed successfully, you will be able to complete the setup changes for the Old Mutual Superfund (refer to the Additional Information document for more details). The fixes for the other issues resolved will be applied automatically.
