A patch file has been released for Sage VIP Classic and Sage VIP Premier Release 6.0b and is available on the Sage Portal.

The patch file includes:

• Lesotho:
  • Updated P16(B) & P16(b)-1 Annual Tax Reconciliation reports
  • Updated PAYE Tax Return form
  • Updated P16 Tax Certificate layout
  • Formatting on Fringe Benefit Tax return date format
• Kenya:
  • New iTAX PAYE Online & P10 - Deposit on Home Ownership Saving plan is not applicable anymore

How do I do I download and install the patch file?

Download from the Sage Portal:

• Access the Sage Portal
• Click on Product Updates
• Select your Sage VIP Classic or Sage VIP Premier
• Select Release 6.0b
• Scroll down and locate 'Lesotho Statutory Report changes' in the Patch Files section
• Click on Download in the Software section to start the download process

Once you have downloaded the patch file:

• Your payroll must be on Release 6.0b to install this patch file
• Take note: If you are on any prior version, you must upgrade to Release 6.0b before installing this patch file
• It is recommended to make a full system backup before extracting the patch. Click here for more details
• Ensure no other users are accessing the payroll application, when extracting the files
• Locate the patch file which was downloaded 
• Double-click on the .ZIP file, which will open with the default program on your computer
• Select to Extract All the files
• Select the payroll application folder as extraction location.
• When prompted to overwrite existing files in the folder say Yes
• Close the application when the extraction is complete
