The new tax file for Zimbabwe which is effective from 1 August 2023, is now available on the Sage Portal.
Take note, that you must review and complete the preparation steps before installing the tax files, as the tax changes are effective from 1 August 2023.

How do I do I download and install the patch file?
Download from the Sage Portal:
- Access the Sage Portal
- Click on Product Updates
- Select your Sage VIP Premier
- Select Release 6.0b
- Scroll down and locate ' Zimbabwe Tax File - effective 1 August 2023 - Version 202304' in the Africa Tax and Report Files section
- Click on Download in the Software section to start the download process
Once you have downloaded the tax file:
- Your payroll must be on Release 6.0b to install this tax file
- Take note: If your payroll is on any prior version, you will need to update to Release 6.0a before installing the tax file
- It is recommended to make a full system backup before extracting the patch. Click here for more details
- Ensure no other users are accessing the payroll application, when extracting the files
- Locate the zipped tax file which was downloaded
- Double-click on the .ZIP file, which will open with the default program on your computer
- Select to Extract All the files
- Select the payroll application folder as extraction location.
- When prompted to overwrite existing files in the folder say Yes
- Close the application when the extraction is complete
