New Patch files for Release 6.2a are now available on the Sage Portal.
Patch 1
These patch files is currently included in the software installer available on the Sage Portal, and only needs to be installed if you downloaded the software before 8 March 2024, and have Botswana companies, or print documents to dotmatrix printers.
Patch 2
Included in this patch file:
- Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC): Tax Tables effective from January 2024 (Premier only)
- Kenya: Post-Retirement Medical Fund Relief (Premier only)
- OID Report fixes
- IRP5 Report fixes
Take note:
- This is an additional download for Release 6.2a, and is not included in the installation files available on the Sage Portal
- South African users must install this patch file in their Live and Tax Year-end copy systems.
How do I do I download and install the patch files?
Take note: It is always recommended to perform a full system backup before extracting any new program files to your application.
- Access the Sage Portal
- Click on Product Updates
- Select your Sage VIP Classic or Sage VIP Premier
- Select Release 6.2a
- Scroll down and locate Patch 2 in the Patch Files section
- For each patch file there is a 32-bit and 64-bit file download - ensure that you download the correct patch for the software installed
- Extract the file to your system folder, overwriting the existing files
