If you receive the message similar message as the example below when doing a Start of Period from April 2024 to May 2024, it indicates that your payroll application is on an outdated version of your Sage VIP Payroll software.

The latest version for your payroll is Release 6.2a. All users are required to update their payrolls to the latest version to ensure compatibility and statutory requirements, you will need to update your system to Release 6.2a, before doing a Start of Period to May 2024.

Take note: Before your update your payroll application to the latest version, after you have paid your employees for April 2024, you have to be aware that the update will recalculate your PAYE, SDL and UIF and might result in changed amounts. Forced Pay is not allowed to be activated, in order for all recalculations to be applied correctly.
