The new Namibia Monthly Employee Tax (ETX) Report is now available for Release 5.2a.
Background:
The Ministry of Finance published a Press Release on 7 December 2018 (please see attached). According to the Press Release, the Ministry of Finance has developed an integrated information technology solution for administration of taxes.
The new system, known as Integrated Tax Administration System (ITAS), will replace the existing legacy system (Taxlive) and is expected to become operational as from 17 January 2019.
Once installed, the new ETX Return is available on the Namibia Report Screen.
How to download and install the report:
The report files must be downloaded to your computer:
Sage VIP (Premier and Classic)

Sage 200c VIP (32-bit)

Sage 200c VIP (64-bit)

Take note: Your payroll system must be on Release 5.2a, and be sure to download the correct report file for your system
Once the file has been downloaded:
- Double-click on the downloaded .ZIP file to open it
- Click on "Extract" or "Unzip" (dependant on the default application for .zip files) and select the extraction destination to be your application system folder (on Release 5.2a)
- When prompted to overwrite the files, say "Yes"
- This will copy the files into your system folder
