"Could not load file or assemble 'file/...\ReporterLibV2.dll" when you generate reports or exports from the payroll on Release 5.2c

We have become aware of a specific issue which might affect some users on Release 5.2c (released 18 June 2019).

When you run reports or do exports (ACB, General Ledger on the payroll), the error message "Could not load file or assemble 'file/...\ReporterLibV2.dll" appears, referring to the mapped drive location where the application is installed.

See example of the error message below:

The issue was specifically found when reports are generated on payroll, where the application is installed on a server and accessed on a workstation via mapped drive.

Solution:

  • Ensure that the latest versions of Sage Connected Service (2.2.2) and  Sage VIP Runtime (6.0.5) is installed under Control Panel > Programs and Features on the workstation affected. If a lower version is installed, uninstall both programs, and access you payroll which will automatically install both programs.
  • In order to resolve the issue, click here and download the file ReporterLibVersion2.zip patch file to your computer (see print-screen below).

  • Once the file has been downloaded to your computer, extract the files from the compressed zip file to your payroll folder on the server (where system is installed).
  • This will resolve the error message when generating reports or exports.

Should you still experience any issue, please contact our support team via Live Chat.

  • If you receive the same error message on Release 5.3a, we recommend that you uninstall Sage VIP Runtime on the workstations and server, and to launch the system again on the workstation and server - this will install the required files again.
