We can not wait for the upgrade because our month-ends and processing for EMP201 etc. need to happen not later than 02.09.2021.
We have over a 1000 workers ( in more than one VIP company, on weekly and bi-weekly), and it is not practical to re-do the September wages later after loading back a backup of the last week in August.
Can we make use of the adjustment field on the ETI screen to claim the R750 extra for all older employees as well as employees over their 24 months period of claiming?
An adjustment of R750 for these people with nothing seems to be easy to capture, but for people currently on R1000, you will be unable to add the R750, due to the limit being R1000.
For people currently on R500 you can add another R500. You need to be careful for partial claims on ETI, and need to take the R6500 limit into account, since VIP will not check that for you.
By doing this you are at least claiming some of this benefit, instead of loosing out on everything.
Is there a valid reason for not trying to do this, or special rules to keep in mind when trying to do it like this?
