Long Service Awards (Vouchers)

Good day,

We've recently implemented a Long Service Award policy (from 10 years upwards) in which we give employees the choice between taking their award in cash (fully taxable) or in the form of a voucher.  I know that R5000 of such a voucher is tax free but, should this R5000 be shown in payroll?  If so, how?  The total of this employee's award is R6008, how should this be handled?
