ESS Exception Error

Question

We had to re-install VIP and ESS on a new server. We are getting the following error when trying to load leave or approve or view anything. And please do not tell me to log a weblink request. That never works and I'd probably die before I get a reply from the web link. So please.

 The error message indicates a possible configuration issue with SQL and Premier ESS, or could be a server role that was not assigned. 
 The recommendation is to submit the details of your query and contact information to Sage Customer Support to review the configuration, or refer the issue to the consultant who did the systems installations.
