Hello. I will like some help on where to setup and edit passwords for PDF payslips for employees. I tried changing the password at Reports > Reports & Maintenance > PDF setup in VIP, but it still gives incorrect password.

Hello George Jnr,
There are 2 places where you can change the PDF password for reports, whihc depends on which profile option you have selected in your company. See the following article for more details.
PDF payslips work different, and does not use the setup screens to create the payslips. Passwords are mandatory if the payslips are delivered electronically (emails, Self Service or Mobility).
Please refer to the following article with more details on passwords on payslips.:

Thanks for the reply Francois. Let me give more details on the issue. Employees used to access their pdf payslips with this format as their password, "yyyymmdd", which is their date of birth, but it doesn't work anymore. So I wanted to find out where this particular password is set up. I tried the above mentioned methods but it seems to work on reports spooled from VIP premier and not their payslips. I hope this explanation is more clearer. Thanks.
Hi George Jnr,
The password format for payslips, when date of birth is used, will be based o nthe comapny date format (whcih will be in the format ccyymmdd or ddmmccyy, if no ID or passport number is defined).
This setting cannot be changed, except the date format that dictates the sequence.
Did you recently change the date format?
Hello Francois Brand,
Your reply was very helpful. The issue has been resolved. Turns out the passport numbers of the employees were recently entered.
