    Hi Elmone,

This error has the following solution on the knowledgebase:

Voluntary over deduction (3195) is mandatory, from 2020 this value is mandatory and must Y or N

The error however is not expected if you are submitting on Release 5.9a or 6.0a, as the system will include the IR5 codes and values as from Release 5.3a already.

We have also seen this error appears in some instances, when the employee records was terminated and a tax adjustment was done on the record on Deduction Line 01, where the refuned tax should have been processed as Additional Tax (separate tax line).

    Suggestion:

    - Access employee record

    - Enter 1c on a taxable line

    - If the PAYE refunds, it indicates the tax was adjusted, and you will need to decide:

    • Move the refund to Additional Tax, and flag Voluntary Over deduction tick on the Statutory tab (employee must provide written consent)
    • Refund the tax to the employee if no consent was given, however this will impact on your declared EMP201 values.

    - remove the 1c on taxable line

    - process the test/live run again.

The error should be resolved now.
