Method of calculation based on paypoint or Department

Good day!

I need some advanced assistance.

We have a site specific allowance that is paid to employees on specific sites. However, when they move to another site, they need to get the new site's allowance amount. Some sites do not have this specific allowance.

Is it possible to create a method of calculation that links to a field on the IS screen? If so, where do I start?

    Good Morning Kevin

Hope that you are well. It seems you are referring to the analysis codes on the IS screen.

It is possible to link the method of calculation according to an analysis code.

You will create the method as per normal, and you will then globally link the method of calculation. Within the selections of the global linking selection, you will link the method according to the analysis code that the selected employees fall under

I have shared a hyperlink below to a demonstration article on how to globally link the method of calculation

If you are not familiar with analysis codes, I have also shared an article on how to create these codes so that they may be linked to the IS screen

  • Hi Scelo.

This is how I am currently doing it. The problem is that the employees were transferred to another site, and they were not linked to the correct MOC. I am looking for a way to automatically give them the correct amount based on the a analysis field (either paypoint, or department) on the IS screen.

I currently have different methods for each site, but linking the employees is a manual process that was overlooked. They have now received funds that are not due to them.

    Good Day Kevin

A method of calculation is able to possess more than one type of method.

You can differentiate the methods under the same heading type and globally link the appropriate employees regarding the group they are under.

If you need more detailed assistance regarding this, I suggest that you contact our customer service platforms to get a sage consultant to help further.

    Hi Scelo,

    Thank you for the reply.

This is how I am doing it. The problem with global linking is that not all the employees qualify for this as it is job specific. Also, I identified a gap in our process where the linking of the moc for the new site was not done. If I can use a method that looks at the analysis field, it would close this gap.

    Keep well!

    Kevin
