Unlink Employees on leave accrual

Good day, 
 
 How do I unlink employees that have been linked to leave accrual on SAGE VIP. We do not use this facility in our organisation, and it affects the Cost to Company calculation. When i try unlinking, I get an error message as below.

Hi MelaniePather18 You need to change the deduction type to calculate. 
 From the Main Menu: 
 
 Payroll 
 Definitions 
 Deduction Definitions 
 Select 'Change Mode' and change the deduction type of that line. Rolivhuwa
