SYSTEM CRASH SAGE50 2023 ''LOOK UP INVOICE''

SUGGESTED

Hi,

Since I have upgraded my sage 50 premium accounting (release 2023.0), every time I want to look up an invoice (in sales journal and in purchases journal), the system crashes and a pop up comes saying ''an unknown error has occured. To protect your company data, sage 50 will now shut down. Any unsaved date will be lost.'' It's starting to get quite annoying and I realise now how often I need to use that search!

Has this happened to anyone else? How can I fix this problem?

Thanks.

Lisa

I have a client that has just upgraded to Sage50 2023.0 and is experiencing the same crashing issue. I've confirmed that the decimal and thousand separators match in Windows 10 and Sage 50. I've also matched the region settings and date formats in both systems.

Previous to v2023.0 there has been no issues with any of these settings.

    Hi,

I verified the same things and everything was ok.

The only solution I have found around this problem is to always put a ''Start date'' to whatever you are looking up. For example, when looking up a purchase invoice in the past, I have never put in a start date, the system would give me all invoices for a certain supplier. Now, the only way it doesn't crash is if I enter a predetermined start date.

I also realised that in the past, i could select an invoice from the payments journal and it would bring me to the invoice in the purchase journal and at that point if a modification had to be made I could make it directly from that window. Now, if you try and modify an invoice through that procedure it doesn't work. You absolutely have to go directly from the purchase journal, look up your invoice and from there modify it.

I really hope these bugs will get fixed!

    Hope this could help someone!

In addition to the crash when trying to open invoices there is also a DATETIME error when trying to create an invoice. I have attempted to update the region settings on the workstation and tried various date formats with no success.

Some feedback from Sage would be appreciated. These bugs are causing serious questions about the product.

As I mentioned in my last comment, try entering a start date before pressing ''Ok'' for the search. That should resolve the crash and pop-up, I also had the same exact message pop-up when i would do my search without putting a start date.

But yes, i agree that Sage should work on fixing these bugs!
