Are you an Accountant message keeps popping up

I'm getting a message every day "Are you an Accountant or Bookkeeper with fee paying clients?

There should be a "No" button:

Because, while the 'fee paying' part sounds attractive to me, the 'clients' part does not.

Starting next week, I'm going to that link and filling out the contact form every time I see the message.  I might even write a script.

Why in the world did Sage add such a bothersome pop-up that needs a special tool to turn it off?

The special tool part is because they introduced a bug into that version of the program and the tool was the easiest way to fix it. Most people do not know what a registry is let alone how to modify it as we were doing in this thread.

I'd say a three-day turnaround from reporting of the issue to validating and creating the tool to fix it and posting it on a Saturday is not bad. It shows they took the issue seriously.

Richard, it is now June, and I am still having the issue. Even if I fixed it ion my computer, i still need to go run this fix on the rest of my staff, who have stopped complaining abbot it because they just gave up.

I'm guessing their strategists believe that one-business license Editions of their software are in use for multiple businesses by people who just aren't aware of the Accountants' Edition.

I think it's the opposite - the old 'Find an Accountant' list of Accountants' Edition licensees read like a largely non-Accountant-like array of curio shops, lawn care outfits, and corner stores.

Perhaps some had a client or two, perhaps they got stuck with a set of books in a higher 'Edition' than they needed, and / or needed one or two Enterprise program features, but for only one book-keeper.

    DZTaxes,

Are you saying it was not corrected by the Apr release? I would have thought they would include the fix in that release.
