Hello,

Our accountant is the only one who has access to "Full Accounting Rights" and this is how the company would like it to stay.

The problem is, that it's my job to prepare quotes on the system, but I can't do that without having "Full Accounting Rights". Is there a way to get around this? Do I need to change settings to allow me to quote?

I keep getting the error message that quotes/orders can only be processed by sysadmin or users who have full accounting rights and have opened the company file in single user mode.

I keep getting the error message that quotes/orders can only be processed by sysadmin or users who have full accounting rights and have opened the company file in single user mode.

If we're talking about Sage 50 Canadian, It's not necessary to have full accounting rights to create and process purchase or sales quotes and orders, but it may be needed to change company-wide settings.

It's possible that someone with full rights, including sysadmin, would have to log in to enable quotes at a company level.  (Setup | Settings | Company | Features)

Another reason for a message regarding full accounting rights is when starting a new accounting year or (payroll) calendar year.  But if the quote date is within the current financial year it shouldn't be a problem.

Ask to have the accountant set it up so that you can use it.

    Thanks for the reply!

I went into (Setup | Settings | Company | Features) But it appears every box is checked off already. The calendar date is set to todays date. We did just start our new fiscal year at the beginning of July, could that have something to do with it?

The message is still popping  up as soon as I open the quote window. It lets me enter everything, but the "Order" column, is not there & I can't hit "Process"

What is the exact message that is popping up?  Can you save a screenshot image (alt-print-screen will copy to the clipboard, open Paint, Paste, save) and upload it? (Insert button in this forum)

If the 'Order' column is hidden for the user login you have, someone needs to log in as the Sysadmin user, in Single User Mode and, with your password (or by assigning you a new login password) :

Open the User account management module

Open your user account, and make note of the current settings.

Change your user account rights to 'Full Accounting Rights'.

    Log out as sysadmin

Log in as your user account, go to the Quote screen, and uncheck the boxes to allow your user account to access the fields you need.

Then log out from that account,

Log back in as sysadmin, in single user mode.

    Open the user account screen

Change your user account settings back to what they are supposed to be.
