Remote Data Access

Good Morning,  I need to understand how RDA actually works.  We are a company running Sage 50 Cloud Premium Canadian Edition.  We have 2 users for a "shared" company.

We've discovered that you cannot save your work in multi user mode.  We see that for both of us to work in the company files at the same time we must be in multi user mode.  What we don't understand is how to back up our work so the other has access to the posted entries.

Yesterday, we were both running the company in multi user mode, posting entries, and one computer logged off to go back into single mode to save the files while the other was still logged on and in multi user mode.  Today, I have logged into the shared company shared and am only seeing partial accounts that were posted yesterday.  I am missing some of the posted entries on my side.

I want to know the proper way to post our data entries - save the work and log out and be assured the entries are correct on both computers.  We don't want to duplicate entries.

I've read through some of the various posts regarding this issue and it seems like each one is a bit different problem and solution.  Any and all help, explanations are appreciated.

Thanks.

    Hi @[email protected],

Thanks for reaching out. Did you ever find an answer for this issue?  Multi-User Optimization for Remote Data Access is available as of the recently launched update for Sage 50 CA version 2021.2. You can now easily switch from single user to multi user mode or vice versa without closing Sage 50.
