Sage 50 Backup Message Upon Opening

Hi all,

I am a total newbie to Sage 50, I think it's a GREAT program so far though!

I have a question about a start up message we received every day.  It always says:

"The last backup date for your data was 07/31/2022. It was backed up on 08/02/2022 at 9:45. TO back up your data again, reopen the company in single-user mode, and choose Backup from the File menu."

What I want to know is why it says this when every time I exit, I make sure I am in single-user mode, then I click exit and it asks me if I want to back up the company?  I always click yes and save the cab file with todays date code in the file name so that it is a new file for each day.

Thanks for your help!!  :)

The message should not say that every time, it should be changing the dates if you run backups in the program.

Have a look at the settings under Setup, Settings, Company, Backup.

I would suspect you have the first one turned on.  Display a backup reminder when session date changes [Daily] and it is triggered because your session date is changed each day.

Because you get a message when closing, the second option is turned on as well.
